How LoanCheck Works - Steps 1-3

Step 1 Are you due a refund?

The LoanChecker is the first step in determining how your mortgage or loan stacks up and whether there are grounds for a refund.

To access the LoanChecker all you need do is click here and enter the requested details in the online form, or call us and we will send you a form and help you through the process. All our dealings with you will be conducted in the strictest confidence.

If there appears to be nothing wrong with your mortgage or loan account, the whole process stops here and will cost you nothing but your time.

Step 2 Establishing a LoanChecker audit account

If the LoanChecker does detect potential errors or issues, we recommend that you establish a LoanChecker audit account.

Establishing an audit account costs nothing. To proceed with this, we need you to complete a simple form authorising us to act on your behalf, 2 specified forms of ID and a cheque for 10 pound, made payable to your lender to secure the exact details of your mortgage or loan account.

At this stage it is entirely your decision on whether you want to proceed.

Step 3 Assessment of your account

Having decided you wish to proceed, we use the LoanChecker information, along with our assessment of your account information to establish if you have grounds for a legal case. LoanCheck will pass your details to one of our authorised outsourced administration agencies - a Ministry of Justice approved company, for a full in-depth investigation.

The case will then be prepared by them for assessment by a solicitor. If the solicitor agrees to take on your case they will then pursue your lender for a refund.

This will not cost you any money as the solicitor works under the Governments Access to Justice system.
